ARBITRATION AMENDMENT BILL.
MR lIERRIES AVANTS IT TO APPLY TO STATE WORKERS. MOTION RULED OUT OF ORDER. By Telegraph—Press Association. AVellington, last night. The House met at 7.80, whoa on the motion for a committal of tho Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill, Mr Hcrries moved that it be an instruction to the committee on the Bill to further amend the principal Act in the direction of bringing the Crown and departments of State and workers employed by them under the provisions of the Act. The Acting-Speaker ruled tho motion out of order on the ground that it proposed to place additional burdens on the taxpayer, and could therefore only bo brought down by Governor’s message. The House then went into committee on the Bill.
