Light candidates were initiated with the usual impressive ceremonies, ably rendered by the officers of the Lodgo. After the business was transacted, tho Lodge closed, and an enjoyable hour was spent, several musical items and recitations being rendered by the brethren, and refreshments partaken of. The membership of this Lodgo now stands at 02. JViiile the Lodge was only instituted in January last, it is expected that a Rebekah Lodge for women, and also a •Juvenile Lodge will he opened at a future date to be notified. For the present condition of the Lodge, Bro. B. Robb, Fij nancial Secretary, is mainly responsible, he having done the Secretary’s work free' of charge, and proposed over 50 members into the Order. Tho programme was as follows : —Song, Bro. Doyle ; recitation, Bro. Eimsly; song (2), Bro. Holdsworth; song, Bro. 1 saae Smith ; song, Bro. W. Howard; song (2), Bro. Sellars ; song, Bro. Cogar ; song, Bro. Leslie. During the meeting, the Noble Grand moved, and P.G. Bro. Wheeler seconded, a resolution of regret at the sod end of President McKinley, who was a P.G. of tho Order in America. The motion was carried unanimously, in silence, and recorded on tho minutes.
