TiO THE GISBORNE SHEEPFARMERS. Dear Sirs, — I learn that Messrs Nelson Bros, are offering for fat stock in this district:— Fat Sheep in the wool, 13s per head. Fat Sheep shorn one month, 13s per head. This price is more than I can afford to pay, and I take the earliest opportunity of informing our sheepfarmers of this, and at the same time I recommend all sheepfarmers to take advantage of the present j offer of .Messrs Nelson Bros, and conclude contracts with them for the sale of their fat stock during the present season on the basis of the above prices. The Gisborne Freezing Works, which-I caused to be started, will be acknowledged by you to have been a very large factor in working up the price of the fat stock of the district, and I think it wiser to advise farmers to accept a good price when offered aud keep the Gisborne Freezing Works closed rather than risk losing a large amount at the present price. The Works were started with tho objeot of maintaining a fair price for the fat stock of the district. I have succeeded in this object so far. My services are always at your disposal to assist in tho development of our dis- ] trict. I am, Yours faithfully, F. J. SHELTON.
