(Before Mr W. A. Barton, S.M.) CRIMINAL CASKS.
Ix tho ease of W. D. S. McDonald v. George Emanuel, in which the defendant was charged with unlawfully rescuing a horse which was being impounded, the accused was found guilty, and a fine of £1 and costs £7 10s was imposed. WORRYING SHEET. A native named Henry Rangi was charged on the information of W. F. Hale with having committed a breach of the Dog Registration Act by permitting a dog to startle a fiock of sheep on the road. He pleaded guilty, and was fined £1 and costs 11s, two days being allowed to pay the fine. STOCK ACT. For a breach of the Stock Act a native named Te Rawhiti Tarata was fined £2, costs £9 6s 6d. DESTITUTE PERSONS ACT. Under this Act-, on the information of Harate Eakaitapu, an order was made against Harry- Harding for the payment of 3s per week. CIVIL CASES. In the following cases, judgment was given for the plaintiff, with ..costs: — Albert P. Agnew v. Matenga Ixahu, claim ;'£s 10s, and costs £1 5s 6d; Same v. Mere Rangi, claim £3 6s, and costs 9s: Same v. Atarea Tipuna, claim £3 7s 4d, and costs £1 5s ; Same v. Hana Kariui, claim £1 Ss 6d, and costs £1 5s 6d ; Same v. Rawera Kornaru, claim £S 0s Sd, and costs £1 18s 6d; Sarah Trimmer v. Samuel Gilman, claim £6 4s 2d, judgment for plaintiff for £6 8s Sd, and costs £2 16s; Same v. Hana Kariui, claim £1 7s lid, and costs 14s; A. P. Agnew v. Wi Patene, claim £1 13s 6d, j and costs los; Same v. Wi Paka Kahure, j claim £T Ss, and costs 9s; Same v. Ivarauria, claim £3 9s 3d, and costs 5s ; Same v. Marehara, claim £1 0s 9d, judgment was given for 13s and costs 9s ; C-has. E. Smith v. Hana Kariri, claim 16s, and costs 9s ; Same v. Henry Rangi, claim 13s, and * costs 9s; George Dixon v. Renata Babington, claim £6, and costs £2 17s.
