Mr Calneron, the Produce Commissioner in London, in his report dated August 9, warns New Zealand producers against the idea that because stocks of'New Zealand sheep are lessened, tho market will bo thereby affected, and states that the trade can get either Australian or River Plato mutton instead. There is, ho says, no inclination of the trade to store New Zealand meat in any other centre than London, but he is inclined to believe that if only an attempt were made to store in other centres and push the distribution from them, the trade in the .New Zealand article could be greatly increased throughout the provinces. °
