By Telegraph—Press Assoeiaiton—Copyright London, Sept. fi. Colonel Scobc-11 has captured Lotter’s commando of 103, southwards of Petersburg. Prior to the capture, Lotter lost 19 killed, 47 wounded, and 200 horses captured. Lotter’s laager was completely- surrounded and surprised at day-break. Tho prisoners include Commandant Breedt, field cornets J. and W. Ivrugcr. Some (2.5,000 rounds of ammunition were captured. The British casualties were ten killed and eight wounded. Recruiting for the irregular corps is being actively resumed at Durban. Lady- Dudley- has made a special appeal for sick and wounded officers. The Nurses’ Fund has £33,000 out of £37,000 already expended. Surgeon Bobardt, of the training ship Britannic, complains that tho result of experience at the concentration camps in South Africa is that the camps are inadequately guarded, and escapes of surrenderors are frequent. Capetown, Sept. 6. Vandenhoever, a Cape Legislative Councillor, has been arrested at Burghersdorp on a charge of concealing arms.
