Gisborne had quite a military appearance yesterday. Special parades were held by the East Coast Mounted Hides and Gisborne Bides. The former received instruction from Sergeant-Major Tuck, the Government drill instructor. The corps was drilled by Lieut. Lewis, who underwent his officer’s examination before Major McCredi? and Capt. 'Winter.
