j jThe North Canterbury Education Board has resolved that after a date to be fixed no teaching of a sectarian character shall be given or received in any school within the district between the time of opening and closing the school for tho day. The Chairman of the Board (Mr Buddo, M.H.R.) has given notice to move that this regulation should apply to keeping children in as punishment or otherwise, considering it detrimental to children to be Detained in school during any period set dside for meals or play time.
