DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES.
WARNING FROM POSTAL DEPARTMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department states that a number of parcels containing matches have recently been posted to members of tho contingents in Soutii Africa. In one case this resulted in a mail being set on lire. In view of this occurrence the Department has decided to take criminal proceedings against persons posting dungerous substances ot any kind.
