NORTHERN BOWLING ASSOCIATION.

THE WELLINGTON TOURNAMENT. [By Telegraph—Prea3 Association.] Wellington, last night. At the meeting of the Council of the Northern Howling Association held tonight, a lotter was received from the Auckland Bowling Club suggesting that at the tournament tho competing clubs should bo divided into sections of six clubs each, and each section play within itself, the winning clubs playing off for the final. It was decided to leave over the question until the clubs meet at Wellington for tho annual tournament. A proposal from tho Southern Bowling Association for the annual North v. South Island match to be played alternately at Wellington and Christchurch was approved. A suggestion that delegates should proceed to Christchurch to arrange details was thought to bo unnecessary, it being considered that suitable arrangements could be arrived at by letter. A motion, on behalf of the Napier Club, that portion of the expenses of each tournament should bo borne by each club, on tho basis of membership, was deferred until the tournament meeting.
