Amateur Rowing Association.

MOTIONS NEGATIVED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. At a special general meeting of the New Zealand Amateur Bowing Association on Saturday evening a long discussion took place on a proposal to amend the constitution of the Association by instituting local centres, with powers of local government. The proposal was negatived by 19 clubs to la clubs. A motion that the headquarters of the Association be removed from Wellington to Christchurch was also rejected by 24 clubs to 10 clubs.
