A SHIPPING CASE.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. A case in which Robert Martin claimed from Captain Evans and the Shaw, Savili, and Albion Company .£SO, for damage done to goods, came before the S.M. today. It was explained that out of a cargo of 40 kegs of white lead shipped from Home by the Aotea 19 were not delivered,though they appeared on the bill of lading, but were found in a smashed and almost unrecognisable'form. The vessel had "met with a hurricane after passing the Cape, and had received a severe buffeting. Plaintiff contended that the damage was tho result of bad stowage, which was not provided for in the bill o£ lading. The case was dismissed.
