The steamer Waikare arrived from Auckland and Sydney at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. Passengers—lnward : Misses I-y s - nar, MeGilliray and Hrewer, Mesdanies White, Foster, McLaurin and two children. Maid, Cassidy and four children, Smiley and infant, Messrs White, Corwell, Forrester, Hookey, Robertson (2), Kells, Todd, Collins, Knapurau, Roberts, Barron, Cutler, Parker, Rodgers, Edwards and Sunley. Outward : Mesdanies Goldsmith, Holland, Atkins and boy, Misses Brewer and Morse, Messrs Smith, Owen, McGeorgian, Burnett, Bird, Brewcy, I’ordham, Hollow, Hodgson, Carr, Me(low Brookiuan, Walker, Scallas, Stokes and Cooper. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s s.s. Fanny (Captain Nelson) arrived from Napier at .noon yesterday. She left Napier at 11 o'clock on the previous night. The sea at Tarapatu anti Taiparu in Hawke’s Bay was too heavy, and those ports had to be passed. A passenger, the schoolmaster, uas landed at Portland. The Gisborne cargo consists of 7500 ft timber, 7;>o posts, Id sacks of grass-seed, ami 150 packages general sundries. The Fanny returns to Napier this afternoon. The schooner Aotea is to sail for Coast ports and Auckland on Saturday. UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY’S MOVEMENTS.
