Sydney, Aug. 25. Bishop Gallagher, whilst conducting a confirmation service, said the fact of being a good and loyal Catholic might, whilst conditions of intolerance and unbelief wore prevailing, be a bar to obtaining employment. No matter how gifted and intelligent Catholics might be, there was a disposition to prevent them succeeding to promotion to high olliee.
