Bv Telegraph—Press Association. ■Wellington, last night. The Government have accepted the oiler of the Canadian Government of 300.000 Pacific salmon ova. They will arrive here in January, and be hatched at Hakaternmea. An order has been sent to .England for 150,000 Atlantic salmon ova. The Education Department has agreed to .issue free railway passes to teachers attending drill and technical instruction classes. Lieutenant Duncan and Troopers Colvin and Gopperts arrived from South Africa by the Whakatane this morning. Win. Draper has been committed for trial on a charge of breaking and entering. Christchurch, last night. The Southern express to-day has been delayed two hours, owing to an accident to a truck attached to a train from Ashburton. The axle broke, derailing two trucks and one passenger carriage. No one was injured, and the line was quickly repaired.
