Victorian: Veterinary Lieutenant Sherlock. After meeting the Boer leaders at Belgium to discuss Lord Kitchener’s proclamation, Or Leeds admitted the improbability of European intervention. The Daily Express states that Kruger's agents have made a secret bid for a new French camion, shown at the military exhibition at Earl's Court, London.

The Boers still in the field are officially estimated at eleven thousand.
