ACCIDENT AT TOKOMARU.
Ax accident that was at first feared to be of a very serious nature occurred yesterday morning at Tokomaru. A blacksmith’s shop, tho property of Mr McDonald, was being removed in sections, under the direction of Mr Benjamin Taylor, manager of the store. One section was resting against a fence, and a fierce gust of wind coming unexpectedly the portion was tilted over and fell upon Mr
Taylor, who was pinnel beneath it until extricated. He was knocked unconscious, and remained so for two hours ; at first, it was feared that he was fatally injured D. ~ ' *
Dr Davis was sent for, and promptly arrived from Waipiro. He found that the injuries were not so serious as \yas feared. He will be unable for a day or two to state the full extent of injuries, but there is apparently no harm to the spine, as the sufferer can move freely. He has been ordered complete rest for a few days, and the probability is that be will soon be well again,
