STALLION SWORDFISH.

ARRIVAL AT GISBORXE. [ Special to Turns. |

Auckland, last night. The stud horse Swordfish, winner of the Wanganui Cup and many good races, by Hotchkiss from Fisbgirl, leased by Mr Caine Carrington from Mrs Walters’ Gi'enC— stud, was taken to Gisborne by the Tc Anau yesterday. Swordfish is the first son of the Wellington Park sires specially reserved for stud purposes, and should "prove a great acquisition to Gisborne district. He combines the Musket and Fisherman strains prominent in our best horses. Swordfish lias much to recommend him. Hotchkiss left Multiform, Uniform, True Blue, Screw Gun, Battleaxe, and other sons of excellence, and tho grand dam of Swordfish, Fanny I Usher, as the dam of King Fisher, Hippocampus, and Torpedo left worthy sons, all of which have made their mark at the stud.
