Trade Commissioner.

THE TOUR. [ Special to Times. | Wellington, last night. Mr G. G. Gow, New Zealand Trade Commissioner, starts to-morrow on bis travels over such parts of the world as are thought worth prospecting in the interests of this colony’s export trade. The tour will begin in South Africa, then in Great Britain, and will probably include the Continent, India, China, Japan, and America. The Commissioner goes well primed about the colony’s products, of which he takes samples, and he is also prepared to enlighten prospective settlers as to the conditions under which they may take up land, and explain to tourists what natural beauties exist and how to reach them. Samples of produce taken include grass-seed, maize, and other products of Hawke’s Bay district. The length of the tour will depend upon its success.
