A Tragedy.
A CAPTAIN SHOOTS THE MATE,
By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright Perth, Aug. 15. During tho voyage of the ship James Drummond from British Columbia, Burns, tho mate, entered tho cabin, threatening to shoot Captain Mason and his wife. Mason drew a revolver, and shot Burns dead. Deceased had previously threatened to shoot the captain and his wife, and run the ship ashore.
