Colville, on the sixth, surprised Pretorius’ laager northward of Waterval, aud captured twenty. Walter Kitchener captured thirteen at Middleburg. Benson cap ured twenty-five in Lydenburg dist-.n. including Botha’s despatch riders, lateinaekor's Horse, near the Portuguese frontier, captured thirteen, all Gormans and Hollanders. A patrol of the Black Watch surrounded a farm at Koraonaberg, capturing thirteen. Laurens, the leader, refused to surrender and was killed.

BOERS BREAK THROUGH THE CORDON.

Kruitzinger, with -100 men, crossed tho line southward of Conway, towards Grafoinet. Other hands of Boors have broken through tho cordon, and it is reported have reached Worcester, Calvinia, and Willowmore.
