Screwgun’s Victory.
WINS A THOUSAND POUNDS RACE
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. Mr G. G. Stead has received a cablegram from Sir Edgar Vincent, England, that Screwgun has won the Ostend Grand Prize Handicap Race, over a mile distance, for a thousand sovs. Screwgun was given to Sir Edgar Vincent by Mr Stead in exchange for Multiform.
