A TOUCHING SERVICE. A DYING WISH. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, August 9.
The Bishop of Ripon, Canon Teignmouth Shore assisting, officiated at a quiet service before the coffin in the bedroom of the late Empress, in tho presence of the family, the Grand Duke of Hesse, and the Duke of Cambridge. Sunday’s memorial service will be held in fulfilment of the wish expressed by the Empress a few days ago. She remarked:
“ I do not wish to be laid in the bier here at Kronberg Castle, where I suffered such intense pain, but in the Church St. John, lvronberg, where I so often found consolation.”
Prince Henry of Prussia was informed of the bereavement off; Brest. President Loubet offered a special train to convey him to Germany.

The House of Lords passed an address of sympathy with the King, and a similar address was passed by the House of Commons, Lord Salisbury and Mr Spencer paying tributes to the memory of the Empress. Mr Grainger, South Australian AgentGeneral, ou bolialf of the Government and people of that State, sends a wreath for the coffin.
The Australasian Ageuts-General forwarded a joint letter of condolence.
Memorial services are to bo held in several London Churches on Tuesday.
