MR GROOM, OF QUEENSLAND,
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, August 8. Obituary : Mr Groom, member of tho I'ederal House for the Darling Downs division of Queensland. Prior to entering Federal politics deceased for 40 years continuously represented Toowoomba iu the Queensland Assembly, a uniquo record for Australia. The Federal Houses adjourned after paying a tribute to his memory and adopting resolutions of condolence to the family of deceased. Brisbane, Aug. 8. Parliament has adjourned out of respect to tho memory of tho late Mr Groom.
