She brought a cargo of coal for the Gisborne Gas Company and Messrs Clayton Bros. The Empre/.a made a record passage of nine days. The Ururoa will finish discharging today. She will then proceed to Mongonui to load timber for Sydney. Messrs Williams and Kettle, Limited, are advised that the Star of New Zealand will not arrive here until Sunday next. An Auckland telegram states : —“ The Jluddart - l’arkcr steamer Elingamite, which left Gisborne on Saturday morning, arrived at 8 o'clock on Sunday night, having been -si 1 hours on the passage. A .strong gale, with heavy rain squalls and high head seas, continued all the way to Auckland.
