AUCKLAND SPECIAL.
THE TOMOANA. (Special to Times.) Auckland, last night. Owing to the accident to tho Tomoana at Gisborne it is probable that tho steamer, after discharging her inward cargo from New York, will return here for docking and examination, before loading for London. BOUGH TRIP. The Te Anau, which arrived here from Gisborne last night, had a very rough passage up tho coast. Her arrival was considerably delayed on account of the strong head winds which she met in the passage across from Gisborne. Tho passage from Gisborne to Auckland took thirty-four hours. A LEADING LADY. Miss Daisy Davis, late of Pollard’s Opera Company, and who has relatives in Gisborne, is a member of Musgrovc’s Grand Opera Company, now playing in Auckland. IMPENDING SCANDAL. A local journal wants to know whether there will not shortly bo a big scandal about certain native lands that will be nuts to Governor O’Brien, of Fiji.
