BARKYN-BROMLEY COMPANY.
The English society artists, Messrs Parkyn and Bromley, gave their first entertainment at tho Academy of Music last night. The entertainment was a novel one for Gisborne people, Mr Parkyn and Mr Bromley oach being able to give a good account of himself as an entertainer, the selections all being of much merit, while the humor is of the refined order, free from any touch of vulgarity. The items on the programme number 99, from which each contributor makes selections, making up a really excellent entertainment deserving of a largo and ' appreciative audfenco. Mr Bromley is an exceptionally fine singer, while Mr Parkyn is a versatile humorist. During the evening a great many items were given, and were greatly appreciated by lovers of refined mirth and melody. The entertainment concluded with the rustic song, “’£ can’t take a roise out of oi,” which was cleverly given by Mr Parkyn,
This evening will bo the concluding night of tho Gisborne season.
