Many honors and promotions are being gazetted in connection with the China war. Sir Macdonald has been made Knight Commander of the Bath. Commander C. R. Conor, who had charge of the New South Wales naval contingent, and Commander F. Tickell, of the Victorian contingent, have been made Companions of St. Michael and St. George. Tho services oi the Indian Princes who took part in the campaign, LieutenantGeneral Sir A* Gaselee, and other commanders, are specially recognised.
