A SPLENDID INCREASE. ' By Tolegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The total gold returns for the Auckland district for tho past six weeks amount to £55,713. The returns for the first six months of 1901 oxceed those of tho first six months of 1900 by .£49,815. The present total of £55,715 is made up as follows :—- Ohincinuri ... ... £46,979 Thames ... ... £4202 Coromandel ... ... £4533
