A BIG PLUNGER.

CHARGED WITH THEFT. London June 11. Edwakd Robinson, son of the late Peter Robinson, owner of one of the biggest West End retail dry-goods stores in London, corner of Regent and Oxford streets, is charged with stealing a coach, phaeton and buggy worth £BOO. Young Robinson will be entitled to £150,000 under his father’s will when he comes of age, but in two years he has squandered £60,000 in anticipation of this legacy. He got the equipages on credit and then left them in settlement of a hotel bill. Robinson lost £IO,OOO on one race at Sandown recently, and £9OO in an hour’s card play the same evening. There has been nothing like him since Benzon, the famous jubilee plunger. Peter Robinson died worth £3,000,000.
