Returned troopers of the Fourth and Fifth Contingents paid a last tribute of respoct to Gunner Arthur W. Kendall (formerly of Hokianga), of tho Fifth Contingent, who diod on the troopship Tagus last week. Tho embalmed remains wero taken to the railway station and thence to Onehunga, and shipped on for Hokianga, whore the burial will take place. About thirty troops oscortod tho remains to the railway station, marching on cithor sldo of the hearse. Thoy wore followed by a large number of boys of St. Stephen’s Maori school.
