A largo mooting of bank clerks at Christchurch was hold to protest against the clauses in the Shops and Offices Bill affecting bank officers. It was decided to make a suggestion to the Wellington Central Committee to the effect that, while not desiring the passage of the Bill, if it were passed that an effort be made to get a clause inserted providing for payment of overtime to all officers, without exception.
