VOICE OF THE FARMER.
AN ORGANISED FORCE ADVISED. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. A meeting of country members of the House was held to-day, at the instance of Mr Moore, Secretary of the Producers’ Union. The following members were present: Messrs Meredith (in the chair), Hall, Stevens, Houston, E. G. Allen, Symes, O’Meara, G. W. liussoll, J. Allen, Rhodes, McGuire, Ilcrries, Hardy,Massey, J. Allen, Monk, Lang, Bollard, Pirani, J. W. Thompson, and Lethbridge. The following resolution was carried unanimously, oil the motion of Mr M_assey, seconded by Mr Pirani: “ That this meeting of members of the House of Representatives, while thanking Mr Moore for his address, and for the work ho has done in the interests of farmers, recommends the Producers’ Union to join with the Farmers’ Union, so that the two unions may become one association together in tlie interests of the country settlers of the colony as a whole.”
