MYSTERIOUS DEATH.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Napier, last night.
The body of a man, namo unknown, was found this morning lying in the water between tho railway and the road bridges at Waitangi, near Clive. Tho body was discovered by Mr Taylor, road overseer, and had apparently been in the water only a day or two. At present the poL > have no cluo to the identity of deceased. The body is that of a man socuiingly about 85 years of ago ; height, sft. G or 7 inches ; fair complexion ; dark brown hair ; beard clipped to a point ; small mole on left check ; dressed in dark tweed coat and vest, bluo serge trousers, soft black Doctor Jim hat; black bow tie : tennis shirt ; thinned undershirt end pants, and laco-up boots. A man named William Hague saw the deceased on the 12th inst, on the main road at Clive.
