A Jilted Lover.

THREATENS TO COMMIT MURDER. [By Telegraph—Press Association.] Christchurch, last night. A young man named "Peter Dunn was charged at the Magistrate’s Court to-day with causing to bo received a letter threatening to kill Elizabeth Woodbury. The parties were on friendly terms for over two years, and were supposed to be engaged. The girl broke it off, and walked out with another. Accused wrote a letter threatening to blow her brains out. Duun pleaded guilty after the evidence had been taken, but disclaimed any serious intention. The Magistrate said ho would not think of dealing with the ease. Dunn was remanded to the Supremo Court for sentence, bail being allowed.
