WHATAUPOKO HOAD BOARD. IT is hereby notified that it is the intention of the above-named Hoard, at a meeting to be held on FRIDAY, July 20th, 1901, to strike a General Rate of Three Farthings in the £, in terms of Section 97 of “ The Rating Act, IS9-1," and Section 11-1 of “ The Road Boards Act, loyg ”; the said rate to be on the capital value of all ratable property within the said Road Board District, for the period of one year, from the Ist April, 1901, to the hist March, 1902, and to be due and payable in one sum on August 12th, 1901, at the Office of the Board, Lowe street, Gisborne; and in respect of Native lands one-half of the above rate. It is also notified that the following Special Rates in the respective Special Districts hereunder mentioned, to provide interest on Loans under “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1880,” will be payable for the same period, viz., (1) The Whole District at One Halfpenny in the £. (2) Hangapapa Special District: One Benny in the £. (H) Riverside Special District: One Halfpenny in the £. (-1) Matokitoki Special District: Two Pence Halfpenny in the £. (.3) Stout Street Special District: One Halfpenny in the £. (G) Upper Fox Street Special District : One Penny and Half Pence in the £.
