Bussell moved the second reading of the Bight Hours Bill, to provide that eight 1 tours shall be a legal day's work, lie said that he would be guile agreeable to lay his bill aside ill favor of anv measure dealing with the question which Government might introduce.
Mr Seddon said that Government supported the Bill, and would give every facility lor its passage. If Mr Bussell failed to get it through, the Government would take it up. In tl e dehate which followed, the Country members strongly objected to the bill being made to apple to country districts. Midnight. -At midnight the debate oil the second reading of the Fight Hours' Bill was adjourned, and the House rose til! 1(1.30 a. lll. on Friday.
