A large selection of superior merinos was offered at the wool sales. There was strong competition, with a hardening tendency. The total quantity of wheat and dour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,290,000 quarters ; for the Continent, 155,000 quarters.

Tin, on spot, is at £139 ; three months, £llß 15s. The market was quiet at £129 till just before closing, when there was a sudden rise owing to the scarcity of warrants for immediate delivery. Sydney, July 10. Wheat, chick, 2s 5d to 2s 6d ; milling, 2s 7d to 2s Bd. Flour, £5 15s to £6 5s ;
