ANGLICAN SYNOD.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The annual session of the Anglican Synod opened to-day, the Bishop of Wellington presiding. Bills to amend the Diocesan Pension Fund, and to .provide for parishes and parochial districts contributing to secretarial expenses of the diocese, were read a first time. In the evening Bishop Wallis delivered an address on “ Christian Unity.” - At the Synod a pastoral staff was presented to Bishop Wallis for the use of himself and his successors in office. .
