Railway Strike.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Perth. July 8. Strike matters are quiet. A partial railway service is being maintained. About three thousand men are now out. A further conference between the Premier and the railway men’s executive, and a subsequent Cabinet meeting, proved abortive. Both sides are firm. Parliament meets to-day, when the situation with regard to the railway strike will be discussed. Unless there is an early settlement, there will be a general shutting down of mines.
