The Resignation Bogey.

A DENIAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. The Hon. Hall-Joncs arrived from Rotorua to-night. Asked if there was any truth in the rumor regarding his resignation. he said that the statement was altogether incorrect. He had not sent in his resignation, and if the report of the alleged interview at Tirnaru was correct, then there must be some misunderstanding somewhere, as tho relations between himself and tho Premier are, and had always been, of the most cordial character. Possibly the rumors originated owing to his having been indisposed for some little time prior to, and during the Royal visit, ’ » necessitating a rest for a week or two, and the advantage of the baths at Rotorua.
