Late Shipping.
Till:', WAIHOUA. Tilt: Union S.S. Uo.'s Waihora left Auckland at half-past five on Saturday eveninn, and should in the ordinary course have arrived at Gisborne at the situio hour yesterday. Advices received from Tokomaru were to the effect that up to dark the steamer had not keen sighted from that point. It was, therefore, presumed that she had met with heavy weather after leaving Auckland, Captain Kdwin having advised that stormy easterly winds and piohably a vale might be anticipated. At a quarter to twelve, Mr F. ('ramouil, the local manager of the Union Company, decided, there stili being no sign of the vessel, to ti\ tile hour of departure for seven o'clock this morning. Twenty-live minutes later, the steamer arri veil, but a launch was not sent out at that I iour.
The following passengers had booked to go by the Waihora last night : Misses AVyllie, lioss, Mesdames Melntosh, Rourke and infant, Forsythe, Foster, Messrs 1 Lacs, Castennneh, Minnie. Hunter, Horsley, llart, Foster, i’ullett, Hollow, Donovan, Holden, Masters Foster (2) : steerage, 10.
