ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. At tho Police Court this afternoon Emil Borgor was charged with having, on June sth, attempted to murder his wife, Adelaide Berger, by administering poison to her. Accused was remanded from last week. The wife, in her evidence, stated that there had been unhappiness between her and tho accused, owing to tho latter taking a dislike to one of her children. Accused had received a letter from Fiji, asking when he was going down to marry a girl named Rose. He replied that he was already married. Accused subsequently administered medicine to witness, which so affected her that she accused him of poisoning her, and sent for the police, The ease was adjourned.
