The elections to fill five vacancies in the Legislative Council, caused by former members entering the Federal Parliament, resulted in tho return of Messrs Payne, Edmund Smith, Williams, Mainfold, and Gray. For Sagong seat in'the Assembly Mr Billson, Ministerialist, was elected.
