In the course of a speech ho regretted that Queensland had sent an untried team to the Federal Parliament. Captain Gordon, replying to the toast of tho Imperial forces, said that when credit was due to the colonials, it was amply given by tho Imperial 'officers. Sydney, June 26. The initial visit of the Moana to Vancouver was marked by a luncheon givon by Captain Carey to leading citizens of Vancouver. The Mayor, American Consul, and Sir Charles Tupper were present. The Mayor toasted the health of the captain, and success to the Union Steamship Company.
