NAPIER SPECIAL.
GISBORNITES IN THE SOUTH. (Special to Times.) Napier, last night. Mr Townley, who is returning by the steamer Waihora, has utilised his time in inspecting the municipal and fire brigade plants at Napier, Wellington, and Christchurch. He spent yesterday viewing the road machine working on the Wairoa road. He also inspected the dredge at Christchurch. He was pleased with that machine, but is not at all satisfied with the progress being made. The Gisborne and Matawhcro cadets and Rifles and some of the Mounteds are leaving to-night for Gisborne.
