HORTICULTURAL CONFERENCE.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, last night. The conference of delegates of Horticultural Societies continued their sittings today. A committee of one representative from each province was appointed to draft an Orchard and Garden Pests Bill. Mr Coleman Phillips read a paper on the small bird nuisance, and after discussion it was resolved that the administration of the Small Birds Pest Act should be taken out of tho hands of local bodies and administered by the Government. Fourpapers on fruit culture and four on fruit storing were discussed.
