INDEPENDENDENT ORDER OF RECHABITES
A meeting of the Gisborno Tent, No. 54, ’ 1.0. R., S.N., was hold in the Tent room last evening, Bro. M. G. Nasmith, jun.j presiding. A lot of discussion took place in regard to altering the night of meeting, and it was resolved that the meetings be held in future on alternate Wednesday nights. The matter of tho formation of a femalo Tent was further considered, and it was decided to hold a meeting of the proposed lady members on Thursday evening, when • all preliminaries will be arranged. A letter was received from the District' Officers inviting any brethren of the locqL Tent who might be visiting Wellington toj participate in the friendly societies inarch L past before tho Duke and Duchess of York. It was stated that Bro. Georgeson, the local secretary, had availed himself of the invitation. Bro. A. Y. Pool, P.0.R., was elected auditor in place of Bro. Georgeson, who had been elected to the position of Secretary. A lot of routino business was also transacted, including the nomination of officers for the ensuing term, and the passing of accounts. A meeting of the Ballance Tent, No, 12, 1.0.R.,5.N., was also held last night, Bra, W. Roland, P.C.R., presiding, when officers wero nominated for tho ensuing term, and routine business dealt with. .
