Judge O’Connor Morris, adjudicating on tho compensation to landowners in Sligo for damago done to their property, denounced the incondiarism being promoted by the United Irish League, which lie was convinced was a dangerous conspiracy. Intimidation permeated tho country, and society was turned upsido down, illegality replacing tho laws.
