Two men namoi Ramsay and Browne, who wore recently arrested by tho police on a charge of having dynamited and robbed a safe at an liotol at Lyttelton, wore before tho Court to day. It. was announced by tho police that this charge would not bo proceeded with. Evidence was then taken against the nccusod of boing rogues and vagabonds, and with having houso-breaking tools in their possession. It appeared that accused both possessed a considerable sum of money, and among their luggago were found picklocks, pliors, files, and an instrument that would open a lock having a key in it from the rovorso side. Counsel for the accused did not cross-oxamine witnesses, and, at his request, the caso was sont for trial by the jury, bail boing allowed.
